No sound

The best RPG ever ruined by a lack of sound on iOS9. How can a developer hold one of the best soundtracks ever, to one of the best games ever, and not fix this issue? And then how can you charge full price being aware of this issue? Utterly disappointed. UPDATE: sound on iOS 9 is operational with the use of headphones. A fix for now at least.

No sound

Really want to play, but not without sound.

Incredible

I love this game so much

Graphics and music are great...controls...not so much!

I love the updated graphics. I love the original music. Trying to control my characters is horrifying... Please, please, please work the controls out. Either more options or a static d-pad (Final Fantasy 1 also has this problem now...it used to be just fine...).

Legendary Game never die

Need update control, not very responsive!!!

Still no iPhone 6 optimization

Still no iPhone 6 optimization

A great game... But without sounds

The game deserves 5* but without the beautiful soundtracks of Uematsu, it has no interest... I hope the dev will fix the bug quickly !

No sound on iPad

No point playing a Final Fantasy without the sound. Other apps work flawlessly, so its not a device problem. Please fix the bug.

Perfekt

So muss es sein! Deutschsprachig, Game Center Support und iCloud Synchronisation, was will man mehr?

Im Rounding.

This is my fifth Final Fantasy purchase for the iPhone and I would have to say its the best one yet. The story is timeless, one of the franchises best to date, and the graphics are excellent in this rendition--I think theyre better than those in the SNES version or the Final Fantasy Anthology compilation. Having said that, I do have a few minor concerns: 1. The game occasionally crashes when starting up (perhaps this will be fixed in an updated version). 2. The controls are a bit stiff, but not to the point where it becomes annoying or inconvenient. 3. On one occasion, I played the game and there was no music. One of the biggest reasons I enjoy these games is because of Nobuo Uematsus wonderful soundtracks. Other than that, its a superior game. If youre a fan of the franchise or RPGs in general, then the game is definitely worth the price. It is truly a classic.

Perfect

Hopefully they keep the work up as bring over more classic snes RPGs, happily pay 16$ for full games no IAPs... Controls work great graphics are fine, auto save is fantastic... Love love love! Maybe worth tbe wait to have it done right! Hopefully our support will speed up a ff7 port to ios soon, I would buy a IPAD just for that....

The best

Exactly like the orignial !! Too much fun for words! I would die for a remake of FFVIII

Wow

The controls are flawless ... Beautifull jobs on the graphics and thanks for the arrow to speed up fights for leveling up :))) wow you missed nothing here and you made me rediscover a timeless classic :))))

Finally!

Excellent port, runs amazing. My favourite of the series. The enhanced graphics are perfect.

The original and GBA versions are better.

The sprites are cheap and lazy. FF4: The Complete Collection looks better than this. FF 6 deserved better. The touch controls are awkward in battle. Ill stick to the original version.

Solid

Holy s___! Good work put into this beat the game, not one crash or hiccup. Gotta do 7 next!

Great with some minor flaws

I loved this game- I cant remember how many times Ive actually played through it. I was worried about the updated graphics, but I was surprised to see how quickly they grew on me. The higher resolution character and monster art made me feel like I could see all these details I missed during previous play throughs. Sometimes things arent as polished as the original, like the aura cannon animation or Terras instant KO move in Magitek armour, but overall a very good game still. I noticed a bug when you have a lot of relics in your inventory though that some of them become unselectable or unequippable for some characters. I had to sell a bunch of relics late in the game to correct this issue. Not good if someone liked to collect every item.

Excellent port, some minor issues.

FFVI is one of the -if not the- best RPGs of the SNES era. It has a story that holds up fairly well today, a wealth of memorable content and an immense amount of things to get, places to see and things to do. Being able to play it on your iPad is fantastic, even with the eyebrow-raising price. Forget about how you cringed at the redone sprites (they actually look strangely good when viewed in-game), the main problem in this iPad version is the controls. In battle, the controls are great. Out of battle however, the controls are just annoying. Youll constantly find yourself taking more steps than necessary. Any spot where you have to walk to one specific square to move onto another, like climbing stairs or crossing a bridge, you have to slowly, painstakingly swipe one square at a time to get where you want to go. Its not a deal breaker, but its gonna make you grumble a few times. Everything else is as it was, though. You get the same fantastic game as before plus extra content that was originally added (I think) to the GBA release. If the griping about touch based movement didnt sour you, you should play this game.

Problems

This game is fun with the graphics and the soundtrack, but there are some gameplay issues. First of all, the controls are annoying. It is hard to move around and I keep going to far and getting into a battle. Secondly, they should add a "return to nearest town button". I got stuck in a dungeon, and I had 1 character left alive, no potions, he was also poisoned, and there was no fountain in miles. So I was stuck there forever and kept dying. It respawned me at the spot of the last battle I fought with the exact same stats as the end of the battle. So I realized that there was nothing I could do but restart my game completely. So the game is fun & all, but with some problems that are really bad and easy to fix.
