As stated in the title, no sound on iPhone 6s Plus with iOS 9. Will write new review once this is fixed or a workaround is found.

The mechanics for walking and running are simply a complete failure. If the movement key was anchored or the place was set up in a god fashion where you knew where the paths were that would be one thing. But the 8 keys to move are completely pointless as there are actually only 4 ways to move from any one spot, literally making half the keys useless. And then the battle mechanics are atrocious. There is only one function that actually gives you enough time to initiate an attack, and even when you have that time, even when you instantly start using an attack, the enemy can pop up and kill you before you get the chance to use the attack. And there is no way to safely train your characters or gain money. You have to run around and risk the game for some extra cash to maybe get enough gear to survive 10 enemy encounter. Which you are forced to go through in order to progress through the story. Anyway I wholly regret waiting my money on this game. I would rather have spent it on literally anything else. This game is more work and stress than fun.

I played the game fine for months. Now the 30+ hours I have spent on the game seems to be mysteriously corrupted. I can no longer play. When I attempt to load game the screen turns black and stays black. Such a serious issue is unacceptable for a game this simple, and this is expensive! The game worked great when it actually worked.

I adore the original, so of course I had to buy this game. However, the graphics in this version are... unforgivable. If they would have preserved the original chunky 16-bit goodness of the original, then I wouldve gave this game 5 stars. Look at Secret Of Mana on iOS for an example of what I mean. That game looks almost the same, and its delicious. This is... atrocious.

8 hours into my game, the system auto saved me into a position where it became impossible to progress. Normally an issue like this I wouldnt slam a game for to give it one star but this is the second time a final fantasy game has allowed me to save into a corner and ruin my file. I was enjoying the game and was maybe beginning to get into the story only to have it punch me in the face and make me feel like I lost 8 hours of my life which was spread over a few weeks. The only way to play through this game is for me to start all over and just pray that I dont make a mistake and get saved into an unbeatable position. Horrible horrible. A thousand times horrible problem with this game.

This is my favorite FF game. The game itself is 5/5, but this version gets a 3/5. The controls are bad. Its very hard to control your character, youll often mistep and go too far. This is without Sprint Shoes. I have three suggestions. 1. Allow us to make the controls smaller, it is HUGE. 2. Give us the option to lock the controls to the bottom left of the screen. 3. Give us directional buttons instead of this awkward circle thing.

First off I will say people complaining about how bad it is to move are exaggerating. Its a small inconvenience but the game itself is flawless.. It brings back memories from when I used to play it... Bosses are hard, a little bit of grinding, many characters, awesome graphics ... In short I cant ask for more Im happy I bought it!!!

As a FF fan, I love FF6. This game has its flaws, but theyre really small, and its still a great port of an amazing masterpiece. The controls are a bit off at times and the new graphics are a huge change from the original SNES, PS1, or GBA graphics. Id say play this on a different system before playing it here just to appreciate the experience this game brings, but if you play this on an iPad, the big screen makes up FF some flaws and makes this loads of fun. Definitely but this game, it was worth every cent.

First time playing this game and I cant believe I missed this back when it came out on SNES. This is a fantastic iOS port. Quick Save should be in all FF ports. I do wish it had an option to show the original SNES and/or GBA graphics though. The option for a static virtual D-pad/buttons would be nice too.

This version of FF6 is great. I love the new sprites and backgrounds and the people who complained about them are morons. Movement was a bit wonky but nothing that changing the pad to 4 directions would not fix.

Im re reviewing this game, which btw I loved the SNES version growing up. What ruins it for me and makes it almost impossible to play on the iPad is the D Pad. Its too big and getting precise movement is impossible. I keep having to back track and as a result get into random encounters even more often. On the iPhone it is not as bad but still difficult. Reduce the size of the D pad please. The story the characters all the rest I love. Still is a wonderful game but Id rather drag out my SNES and play than play this version. Wish they had kept the old sprites too.

I do not recommend this purchase. The movement controls are poorly implemented, and it distracts from an otherwise wonderful classic.

I played this non stop! Ive actually combed the reviews about controls and all that but I disagree, but maybe its better on the bigger devices? Either way, I loved it. Read the walk through after you play, youll catch some awesome places you didnt know existed. As for controls, I was more disappointed in FF7 controls than this.

This would normally get a 5/5 from me but since the game crashes every time I get into a random battle on the Floating Continent, I can only rate the first half of the game. As such, this will get 2.5 stars from me until Square fixes this issue.

Simply put it just isnt enjoyable. The controls for this version are what really kills it - they just arent fluid and I constantly found myself running back and forth trying to get through a door or check a clock. The battle screen is awful as well - its hard to describe other than taking a dated system and making it even more dated. The graphics are disappointing. Some sprites work well, others are just bad. I truly feel the original style was way better and just pure classic final fantasy. There really isnt any reason to get this version unless youre a glutton for frustration. On top of all of that, I found the story so dull I couldnt bring myself to suffer through the controls to finish the game. Stay away from this one.
