iCloud saves broken

One of the major points of this game update for ios was the use of game saves to the cloud. Sadly thats gone and therefore the game is now useless. The second I update my device or buy a new one boom saves are gone. iCloud saves will simply not connect to the cloud to allow upload or download. They should fix this so people can play as the game originally mentioned. Horrible and cant play until they do fix it, doubt they ever will.
